Recently an elaborate walking trail has been added to this isle that juts out toward from Prescott Park. There are walking trails, great interpretive signs and lots of photo opportunities. The island also includes the municipal swimming pool and a boat launch, mini playground and access to the picnic area on Four Tree Island, and is near the histori South End and the city's oldest graveyard. DIRECTIONS: From downtown Portsmouth head down State Street toward the Kittery Bridge. Turn right before the bridge onto Marcy Street and take a sharp left after Prescott Park, cross the bridge.
