Seashore Trolley Museum
Kennebunkport, ME

Founded in 1939, this museum has grown and grown into a living history of public transportation. It all began with with one open trolley car, #31 from the Biddeford & Saco Railroad. Today, the collection contains over 250 transit vehicles, most of them trolleys, from all over the United States, Canada, and many other countries. STM is the oldest, and largest electric railway museum in the world. Admission includes unlimited trolley rides on the growing network of track, plus access to the museum and groups. Bring a picnic lunch or eat in. There is also an extraordinarily complete museum store. Check the web site for special events, group rates and lots and lots of info about trolleys.

DIRECTIONS: I-95 North to Maine Turnpike. Take Exit 3 (Kennebunk). After tollbooth, Left onto Route 35 to downtown Kennebunk. Left onto Route 1 North, for 2.8 miles to traffic light, in Arundel, between Arundel Antiques Village and Antiques USA. Right at the traffic light onto Log Cabin Road. Museum is 1.7 miles on left.
