Portsmouth Fish Pier

Today a cloud hangs over the commercial fishing industry from Cape Cod to Maine. Environmental regulations enacted in 2002 have greatly curbed the ground fishing industry to give the fish population time to rebound. In Portsmouth the commercial pier is located just beyond Prescott Park on Pierce Island, reached by a small bridge. The NH state facility is open yearround with 25-30 berths and unloading, fuel, ice.
